Michon Henegar is an educator, speaker, author, and certified life and brain coach with extensive experience in early childhood education. She has served as a school administrator, childcare center owner and director, classroom teacher, and university educator. Michon is the creator of Pre-K Play Day and The Bible is for Me From A to Z. She is passionate about equipping educators with brain-based strategies and biblical principles that support healthy development, positive behavior, and strong leadership.

Session 1: The Blueprint for a S.M.A.R.T. Classroom

This session establishes that a successful classroom begins with the educator. Teachers explore the F.A.C.T.S. Model — to ensure their own “fill” leads to a positive “spill” for their students. Finally, the S.M.A.R.T. framework is introduced to build a resilient classroom. Participants will learn how to move from “straw and stick” environments to a “brick” foundation built on consistency and co-regulation

Session 2: The Blueprint for the Brain & Behavior

This session focuses on the three pillars of brain development: working memory, flexible thinking, and inhibitory control. Educators will learn to go beyond verbal instructions by connecting with children on visual, intellectual, and emotional levels. Practical tools highlighted include cueing systems to foster balanced, respectful communication.

Session 3: The Blueprint for a C.A.L.M. Classroom

Learn how to maintain a peaceful atmosphere even when emotions escalate. This session introduces the C.A.L.M. acronym—Communication, Action, Love, and Mindset—as the foundation for a responsive environment. Participants will discover how to calm the amygdala to prevent toxic stress and learn practical regulation strategies for building deep connections with disconnected students.

Session 4: The Blueprint for BIG Behavior

Shift your perspective from managing behavior to training it by understanding that every action tells a story. This session provides a strategic toolkit for high-intensity scenarios. Educators will learn to use various tools and strategies to help children successfully transition back into classroom routines.
