The mental health of children has been declared a national crisis. Parents and teachers struggle to make sense of the BIG and small emotions of children. Adults make choices every day about how to treat children. This presentation will shed some light on what children need from the adults in their lives to thrive and become who God created them to be. Suggestions for teachers to be the light in a troubled world and be intentional about being WHO (not WHAT) children need will be spotlighted. Get ready to be challenged to be the early childhood educator who can change the path for many children.

Mary Ann Bradberry brings many years of experience in Christian education for children to each of her sessions. She has served as a Preschool and Children’s minister, an editor-in-chief at LifeWay Christian Resources and an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University.  After eight years as the Executive Director of Texas Baptist Church Weekday Education Association, Mary Ann retired to spend more time exploring the world through the eyes of her granddaughter. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a graduate degree in Early Childhood Education from North Texas State University. Mary Ann lives in Austin, Texas where she attends Real Life Church and teaches a group of curious Kindergarteners.
