This course offers strategies for educators to effectively support children with special needs by focusing on their individual worth and potential. We will emphasizes seeing each child through a lens of “ONE”: opportunity to disciple, needs to be met, and excitement to belong. You’ll learn strategies for adjusting the learning environment, curriculum, and expectations to accommodate diverse needs. We also discuss the importance of understanding behavior through the ABC model and fostering social inclusion. The course encourages teachers to view challenges as opportunities and to collaborate with parents. We want to equip you to champion a student-centered approach grounded in recognizing the inherent value and purpose of every child.

This course is part of a 3-part series that also includes “An Overview of Common Special Needs in Young Children” and “Strategies for “Supporting Parents of Young Children with Special Needs”. There is a bundle that includes all three courses available HERE.
