Infant & Toddler Development: Lighting the Path for Life
Course Description
The need for understanding God’s design for the growth of infants and toddlers has never been more needed than NOW! Research overwhelmingly supports the fact that experiences early in life are a powerful force in a child’s development. Interactions with early caregivers shapes the quality of later relationships and lays the foundation for all future learning. This session will highlight key development milestones of infant and toddlers and strategies to build their emerging brain power.
Mary Ann Bradberry brings many years of experience in Christian education for children to each of her sessions. After eight years as the Executive Director of Texas Baptist Church Weekday Education Association, Mary Ann retired to spend more time exploring the world through the eyes of her four-year-old granddaughter. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a graduate degree in Early Childhood Education from North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. For 12 years, Mary Ann was an editor in chief in the Childhood Publishing Department at LifeWay Christian Resources where she edited preschool Sunday School curriculum, ParentLife magazine, and Vacation Bible School resources. Before going to LifeWay, Mary Ann served as a Preschool and Children’s Minister at churches in Texas and Oklahoma. She has also been an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University. Mary Ann lives in Austin, Texas where she attends Real Life Church.
